Harris Boat Dock Construction is owned by
David & Karen Harris
We have been building Docks on Beaver Lake
since 1986.
David is a 1977 graduate of Southwest
Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science in Electro
Mechanical Design.
Karen is a 1982 graduate of the University of
Missouri St. Louis with a Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration.
We operate our own business.
We are not accountable to investors.
We have the knowledge in Structural
Engineering to design and build the best dock on the market.
We only build on Beaver Lake. This is a
major factor for keeping overhead in control.
Our Labor force consists of 6 Full time
Employees, NOT subcontractors. This guarantees a consistent high
quality for the customer.
Our 15 Acre facility is located on the shores
of Beaver Lake at Point 10.
When very heavy snow followed thick ice in
1989, we had an opportunity to evaluate dock construction methods used
by other builders. This opportunity to see failures in “real life” added
to our advanced knowledge of engineering for the real world rather than
just performing the standard “paper” analysis. Our designs have never
seen a failure due to snow and ice!
